Listen along! Chip and I saw The Revivalists over 10 times and their music means so much to us both. Before he told me he loved me, he sent me a video of them singing "To Love Somebody." This song will forever resonate in my heart to represent his love for me.

Chip was my paradise here on Earth and, as we always said before he went into a medical procedure, and I was unable to go with him, "I'll see you on the other side."  After the medical device supporting his breathing had been turned off, I spoke those words for a final time to him in the ER room the night his spirit transcended this world. We made this pact to each other countless times, and I am fully certain that we will see each other again in Heaven.

Other Side of Paradise's Purpose

I created this blog for so many reasons. My first post gives information regarding the Open House and Service for him. From that first heart-wrenching post, I blog in order to document my journey through grief, to recall things about him and our life together, and to record the travels his family, friends and I will take to spread his ashes in the places most important to him.  Although my primary purpose in writing here is always to say, in one form or another, "everlasting be his memory," I may blog for other reasons as time goes on. I hope this blog brings comfort to all. Subscribing will notify you via email when a new post is made.

"If my senses fail meet me on the other side of paradise
Free from complications of our sense of time...

Were our common ancestors wandering hills in the night"
